NBC Sports joins forces with msnbc.com

We’re very excited to bring our users a new sports section.

msnbc.com and NBC Sports have partnered to create the new NBCSports.com. It can still be found by clicking on "Sports" in the left-hand navigation of msnbc.com, but once you do, you'll find a redesigned section that builds on the quality you're accustomed to.

What's new? More sports videos in a new video player, NBC Sports personalities including John Madden, Bob Costas, Al Michaels, Jerome Bettis and Johnny Miller, and special content from NBC Sports’ marquee coverage of NFL’s Sunday Night Football, Notre Dame, NHL, the PGA Tour and the USGA. We'll also have more fantasy sports coverage from Rotoworld.

We know changes like this can be hard to get used to, but we also know change is necessary to make improvements. We hope you agree that's what we've done, and we hope you'll tell us what else you'd like to see.

So fire away, let us know what you think!

Didn't you guys JUST unveil NBCSports.com last month? What happened?
MSNBC is a wonderfull presentation of news.  Keith Olbermann, of "Big Red" fame,is a never miss on one side and it appears the sports page is now in the same category! Caps off!!!
Looks great! So is NBCOlympics.com up next to get a design similar to msnbc.com and nbcsports.com?
I am a loyal reader of NFL writer Tom Curran.  Where is he on the new NBC Sports page?
Let's see. Bob Costas, Al Michaels, John Madden Jerome Bettis and Johnny Miller all commenting and offering opinions about sports. Since I can't stand the mind-numbing rhetoric, proffered daily on sports talk radio, I look forward to this. Imagine, sports coverage and intelligent comment. What a concept!
Good move!  You've now got the best.
I could do without the advertising bar at the top.
GLAD TO HAVE NBC INVOLVED IN SPORTS, AND I DO WATCH MSNBC VERY MUCH...AND WILL UTILIZE MSNBC/SPORTS.
MSNBC used to have the best sports pages, allowing readers to select their local sports teams and displaying those scores on the main MSNBC homepage.  Now, MSNBC and NBC is just another of the millions of impersonal sports pages out there that one can choose from.  Nothing spectacular or individual about this page over any other.  I'll keep using others.
When are you going to fix the sports part of "My News"?
Never updates and still has "default" items listed.
The website looks great.  As long as you are revamping the site...can you do something with your live scoreboard feature?  I always go to another site because their live updates are a little more accurate than what msnbc.com does. Keep up the good work though
I think it would be cool to have Keith Olberman do some musings over the sports world on the sports section on msnbc.
I belive the Fred Roggin of California would be
a valubal asset to the  group. He is an outstanding sports reporter,
Just PLEASE tell me that there will be more, not less, of Keith...  Countdown's not enough.
As long as John Madden is still broadcasting it's a good thing no matter where he is.  His knowledge about the game of football is contagious.  I love to hear him enthusiastically break down a play or talk about what the defense and offense should be doing.
Where can I watch a replay of NBC's coverage of the Ironman competition?
exactly what does jerome bettis bring to the forum?
you listened and added a "Home" button to the top of the MSNBC news page, now listen and add a home button to the top of the new sports page that will lead back to the main web page. BTW I really like the new sports page.

About the blog

This is the work and the thoughts of msnbc.com's site design and editorial concepts groups and a place for us all to discuss design, content and the future of news.

We want this to be a conversation, where we tell you what we're up to and what's caught our eye, and you tell us your thoughts and ideas about the site's design, content and tools.
